What is a Pilates Reformer?

Pilates Reformer is a specialized apparatus created by Joseph Pilates. Unlike mat Pilates performed on the floor, the Reformer is a moving platform (“carriage”) that slides on rails using springs, straps and handles.

  • 🔧 Moving platform (carriage)
  • 🔧 Adjustable spring resistance
  • 🔧 Straps and ropes for arms and legs
  • 🔧 Footbar for leg support
  • 🔧 Shoulder and head rests
